Effect of Vacuum Annealing on Microstructure and Hot-Salt Corrosion Behavior of CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/LaMgAl11O19 Double-Ceramic Coating

This study investigated the potential effect of vacuum annealing on microstructure and hot salt corrosion behavior CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/LaMgAl11O19 (LMA) double-ceramic coatings. A hot-salt test revealed that sprayed coatings exhibited an unsatisfactory anti-corrosion performance, LMA layer underwent severe fracture degradation. Vacuum induced a prominent recrystallization amorphous phase in layer, triggering volume shrinkage microcrack initiation. The were aggravated by increase temperature. annealed coating with higher fraction LaMA showed superior resistance to corrosion. However, mixture diffused simultaneously along microcracks eventually eroded into YSZ layer. These results confirmed significantly enhanced it deteriorated barrier through formation.
